Track 3. Building Interactive Tours

Floor Plans and Scene Groups

Upload a 2D floor plan, place clickable scene points on it and group scenes into floors or folders inside one project.

You will add a floor plan to a tour, place a point on every room and turn the plan into a navigation element that visitors can use to jump straight to the scene they need.

Upload the plan

Open the Floor plan section of the project and upload a png or webp image of the plan. Keep the file below 4000 pixels on the longest side and draw it to the same scale as the building, so the points you place land in the right rooms.

  1. Prepare a clean plan image in png or webp format.
  2. Open Floor plan and upload the image.
  3. Name the plan after the floor, for example Ground floor.
  4. Place a point on every scene of that floor.

Place the points

Click Add point and then click on the plan where the camera stands in that scene. Give the point the name of the scene, so the tooltip and the hotspot link stay in sync. Points link to scenes, and a visitor can jump from the plan into the tour without walking the route.

Group the scenes

Folders group scenes inside one project and are useful for floors, buildings or stages of a project. A folder can be collapsed in the scene list, and a scene can belong to one folder only. For very large properties, separate projects are usually cleaner than a deep tree of folders.

A floor plan is a separate asset from the scenes. Updating the plan does not change the panoramas, and updating a panorama does not move the point on the plan.
